Advertising Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
AutoTechSpot may use advertising to support the cost of publishing free car reviews, buying guides, comparisons, updates, and tools. This Advertising Policy explains how ads may appear, how advertising is separated from editorial work, and how readers can identify sponsored or affiliate relationships.
Advertising revenue does not control AutoTechSpot's editorial opinions, review conclusions, article topics, rankings, or recommendations.
How Advertising May Appear
Advertising may appear as display ads, contextual ads, native ad placements, sponsored messages, affiliate links, or other clearly identified commercial placements. AutoTechSpot may work with ad networks such as Google AdSense, direct advertisers, affiliate networks, or other partners that help support the website.
Ads may be personalized or contextual depending on reader settings, consent choices, browser behavior, ad provider rules, and applicable laws. Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Editorial Independence
AutoTechSpot's editorial team controls article topics, wording, conclusions, comparisons, and recommendations. Advertisers, ad networks, affiliate partners, manufacturers, dealers, and agencies do not receive approval rights over independent editorial content. They may not buy a favorable review or require us to change an editorial opinion.
If an advertiser submits a correction or factual claim, we review it under the same standards we use for reader submissions. If the claim is accurate and supported, we may update the article. If it is promotional or unsupported, we will not treat it as editorial fact.
Sponsored Content
If AutoTechSpot publishes sponsored content, paid placements, or brand-provided material, it must be clearly labeled near the top of the page or placement. Sponsored content should not be disguised as independent journalism, and readers should be able to understand when a commercial relationship exists.
AutoTechSpot currently prioritizes independent editorial coverage. Any future sponsored material must be relevant to the audience, comply with applicable disclosure rules, and avoid misleading claims. We reserve the right to reject advertising or sponsored opportunities that conflict with reader trust.
Affiliate Relationships
Some AutoTechSpot pages may include affiliate links. If a reader clicks an affiliate link and makes a purchase or completes another qualifying action, AutoTechSpot may earn a commission at no extra cost to the reader. Affiliate links are governed by our Affiliate Disclosure.
Affiliate opportunities do not decide what we recommend. A product, service, tool, or vehicle must be useful to readers on its own merits. If the best reader recommendation has no affiliate relationship, we can still recommend it.
Ad Quality
We aim to keep ads separate from editorial content and avoid placements that intentionally imitate navigation, article text, review conclusions, or site controls. We do not want ads to mislead readers into thinking an advertiser's message is AutoTechSpot editorial judgment.
Because some ads are served by third-party networks, AutoTechSpot may not manually review every ad before it appears. Readers who see a misleading, broken, offensive, malicious, or disruptive ad can email contact@autotechspot.com with the page URL, screenshot if possible, and a short description.
Reader Trust
A content website only works if readers can distinguish editorial information from advertising. That is why AutoTechSpot maintains separate policies for editorial standards, affiliate disclosure, corrections, and privacy. These pages are linked throughout the site so readers can evaluate our process.
For related standards, read the Editorial Policy, Review Methodology, and Corrections Policy.
